One Summer...

Ben & Janice Swaine and their three kids Deanne (the oldest daughter) Daniel (the middle boy) and Jackson (the toddler) went on a two weeklong tent camping vacation. They decided after such a long camping trip, that they would end their vacation with a nice stay at a hotel. Giving them a chance to sleep in an actual bed, take a real shower, and eat something that wasn’t cooked over an open fire. 

Excited to be done camping, they all helped breaking down camp and pack up the truck. Everyone was ready to hit the road and head home.

After a long day, the Swaine’s started getting a little tired of being on the road and began searching for any vacancies in nearby hotels. All their web searches came up with nothing available. Apparently, there was some huge event that they didn’t know about, and all the hotels were booked. Daniel finally got a hit on one vacancy at a nearby hotel, but it didn’t take on-line reservations. They hurried to the hotel, only to enter and find out that the hotel just gave its last available room away.

Desperate, Ben tells the clerk, 

“We’ll take anything you have. Anything!! We’ve been camping in tents for the past two weeks and are on our way home. We all desperately need a hot shower and a soft bed. Please! Don’t you have anything available?”

The clerk felt really bad for the Swaine family and told Ben,

“Sir, we do happen to have just one room left. We don’t normally let people stay in it though. It’s haunted. Everyone that has stayed always disappears in the middle of the night without so much as a goodbye or even paying their bill!”

Ben quickly says,

“Great!! We’ll take it! You see, I don’t believe in all that ghost rubbish anyhow!”

Ben takes the key, and they go off into the old hotel room.

Everyone was so tired and hungry from being on the road all day that they decided to just order out for food then go to bed. After about an hour their food finally arrives. Janice pays the young delivery boy, walks across the room and sets the food it on the small table in the corner. Jackson was so hungry, he was literally drooling, watching Janice carry the food right by him.

Janice announced,

“Everyone it’s time to wash up for dinner!!”

Janice figured she would wash up first, so she could get Jackson all settled and fed. She enters the bathroom, turned on the sink and a horribly scary voice calls out…

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

It scares Janice so badly that she screams and jumps out the bathroom window and runs away! 

Ben hears Janice scream and goes in the bathroom to find her gone. He went back in the room and told Deanne, Daniel, and Jackson that their mom is super afraid of spiders and probably saw one and overreacted as usual. He proceeded to tell them that if it were a snake, he would be the same way.

After a few minutes, Ben figures he would just go wash up and Janice will be back soon. He goes into the bathroom, turn on the sink and hears that same scary voice shouts out a little louder,

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

He gets so scared, that he screams, runs to the window, jumps out and runs away!

Daniel heard his dad scream and went to the bathroom only to see that he was gone also. Remembering what he said about being deathly afraid of snakes figured he saw one and reacted like his mom and took off. After telling Deanne about how dad must have seen a snake and probably took off, he went back into the bathroom to wash up for dinner. Figuring they would both be back soon. He walks over to the sink, turns on the water and hears an even louder scary voice yell out,

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

He freaks out, screams, runs to the window, jumps out, and runs away!

Deanne hears Daniel scream and goes to the bathroom only to see that he was gone. Deanne knew Daniel was super afraid of centipedes and figured one crawled out of the drain in the sink and he reacted like her Mom and Dad. Thinking to herself that her whole family are a bunch of babies, and wondering why they even went camping if they are all afraid of bugs, she decided she would just stay and wash up for dinner herself and wait for them to come back. She walks to the sink, turns on the water and hears a really loud scary voice scream out,

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

She screams like a banshee, jumps around freaking out, runs to the bathroom window, jumps out, and runs away!

Jackson is just sitting there all alone starving, wondering where everybody went. Wanting food, he shimmy’s himself out of his highchair and curiously crawls over to the bathroom to see where everybody was. First he opens the door…nothing…he crawls over to the sink…still nothing…“hmm” he thinks to himself…THEN he hears it! A scary voice calls out…

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

Jackson, confused, looks around.

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

( Even Louder Than Before )

he just sits there,

“BLOOOOOODYYYYYYYY FINNNNNNNNGGGERRRRRR”

( Super Loud )

Finally, Jackson, just as loud, and being super hungry and frustrated, yells back,

“THEN PUT A BAND-AID ON IT!”
